Seyed Rahmatullah Khalifeh Soltan served as a Colonel in the Imperial Iranian Army. سرهنگ سید رحمتالله خلیفه سلطانی از افسران بلندپایه ارتش شاهنشاهی ایران بود. زندگی و مسیر شغلی او به عنوان یک فرد نظامی، با تحولات و تنشهای سیاسی پس از انقلاب ۱۳۵۷ پیوند خورد. او به اتهام مشارکت در قیام شاهرخی (نوژه) بازداشت و بر اساس حکمی که توسط محمد ریشهری صادر شد، در تاریخ ۸ شهریور ۱۳۵۹ اعدام گردید. یاد و نام او به عنوان یکی از افسران جانباخته در آن دوران، در تصاویر پرتره و مزار او برای تاریخ به یادگار مانده است.
